How we’re going to endure yet another year

We all struggled this past year – each in our own way. The year ahead doesn’t look any easier. How will we make it through?

Think about Jesus. He was able to endure the worst – an agonizing death on the cross – because he had his eyes fixed on the joy of resurrection and the Father’s “Well done.”

Many times we haven’t known who to trust, but we know Jesus. We know he is using our trials to perfect us. We know we can trust him to finish what he has started.

We can’t win this race if we are distracted by what lies behind us. Let’s lay all that aside and focus on winning because the course in front of us is difficult enough. Your hero runs beside you. Let’s reach deep and run the race in front of us with endurance.

The prize waiting for you – and for Jesus – at the finish line will make it all worthwhile.
