‘Behold, I stand at the door and knock’

For what it’s worth: In context …

Revelation 3:20 — “Behold, I stand at the door and knock.” — isn’t an evangelistic message. It was written to a bunch of rich Christians who had become lukewarm in their faith … people like us (meaning ‘me’).

The last part of the previous verse seems to be a profoundly relevant word: “Be diligent and turn from your indifference.” (NLT)
