Would you be counted among ‘the victorious’?

When the Reigning Christ speaks to the churches in Revelation 2-3, he promises wonderful reward to those who are “victorious” — and terrible judgment to those who refuse to repent of disobedience and indifference.

Who are the victorious?

The passage praises hard work and patient endurance, not tolerating evil people and exposing false teachers, and hating immoral deeds. It speaks to believers who are suffering and in poverty, thrown into prison and persecuted, who remain faithful and refuse to deny Jesus even when threatened with death. The churches are great in love, faith, service, and patient endurance — and constantly improving in all those areas. They have little strength, yet obey Jesus’ word and his command to persevere in the face of great difficulty.

Do you see your reflection in that mirror?
