Before you cry out to God about gay marriage, listen

So many Christians suddenly interested in prayer. Good! But before you cry out to God about gay marriage, stop and listen: “If a man shuts his ears to the cry of the poor, he too will cry out and not be answered.” (Proverbs 21:13)

Could the wrath about to be poured out on this country have been averted if Christians had not disobeyed God and abandoned the poor to the government? How much more credibility would our “witness” have had in recent generations if we had been loving our poor neighbors the way we loved ourselves?

Revival in America must include a revival of concern for the poor.
