Feeding the widows; many new believers

The church in Jerusalem was conducting a *daily* distribution of food to provide for its widows. It’s interesting that Acts 6:1-7 doesn’t make a big point of the fact there was a daily food program to help widows. The author assumes it as natural expression of Christian community and obedience to Christ’s command that we love each other.

Do you think the fact that the church provided for its widows played any role in the number of believers greatly increasing?
