‘Just as you and I are one’

“My prayer for all of them is that they will be one, just as you and I are one, Father — that just as you are in me and I am in you, so they will be in us, and the world will believe you sent me.” (John 17:21 NLT)

Jesus prayed for our unity — a unity as deep and profound as his oneness with the Father. Is our unity as intensely complete as the Incarnation? Are you striving to cultivate, nurture, and maintain “the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace” with authentic believers? Can you be completely one with them in spite of your differences with them?

What do you need to do today for the sake of unity?
