I’m going through boxes that have been in the garage for years. Came across back issues of The Voice, a quarterly magazine I copy edited and laid out for several years in the late ’80s and early ’90s for the United Farmers Agents Association. A misrepresentation in that working relationship resulted in my being forced to declare bankruptcy. I can still feel the ripples of bad faith in my life. It felt good to put that bad memory on the curb for the recycling truck to haul away.
On the upside, I found a couple of 5 1/4 – inch floppy disks from a Compugraphic typesetting computer we used when I was at the Arkansas Baptist. I remember how excited we were to add an external hard drive to that setup — 5 meg! It was a light-year leap over the storage one of those floppies offered.
