from our friend Norm Miller in Richmond, about his wife:
A second MRI this a.m. confirmed for the neurologist that Cynthia had a mini-stroke. Last October, C’s BP spiked radically due to the on-set of menopause, and she’s been taking BP meds. Her otherwise textbook BP readings still have been a bit high since then, but not hyper-tensive. Nonetheless, we have a diagnosis. There are still some tests for today, and other observations that will keep her one more night. Hopefully, she’ll be home Thursday.
If there are other, more significant updates, I’ll let you know. Cynthia and I both thank you for your prayers and concern. Pray again, please, for healing and complete recuperation, and the wisdom of how to simplify our lives as we adjust.
