Crippling not-for-profits

Would the President’s proposal to reduce the charitable and mortgage interest deductions wind up crippling churches, charities, schools and other not-for-profits?

    Probably – it seems that the Liberals’ tend to discourage such private donations in favor of government subsidies. One must assume that this is because doing so allows for more governmental oversight and control over the organizations receiving the funds. :(
